My parents came down this past week from Thursday to Saturday to help my brother and his family remodel their bathroom. The guys worked on the big project and the girls go to hang out. Thursday we went to Centennial Park, Friday we went to the "bird pond park" along the Provo River Trail. It was such a gorgeous weekend and the kids had a blast! Above are the photos shot at Centennial Park.........

HAPPY FREAKIN' SPRING!!!!!!!!!

Spring 2010

Savannah can officially stay sitting up on her own.....but, if she decides she wants to lay down....she kinda goes boom boom, down down all the way! Easter has come and gone now, it was a rough holiday for us. We had to drive almost all day Sunday. My parents had an Easter brunch at 10am Sunday morning in Syracuse, following an Easter egg hunt for the grandkids. Then, we had to travel back South to Highland for a light dinner with Chris' parents. Finally, we made it home about 9pm. We were so tired and stressed from the drive we through our stuff on the ground and hopped in the bed to crash for the night. I hope the next holiday isn't such a stress.....definitely need to cut down on the travel........trying to decide if we need to switch holidays between families to eliminate so much traveling. Anyhow, not much else happening. Chris is working himself to death to keep our bank account flowing and I'm trying to think of new ideas to help out too. Sushi night pretty much disintegrated so, as of right now, I am looking into making sushi at the Pioneer Park Farmer's Market. Also on the side, trying to do the "Savvy Shopper thing" with plans of hosting a get-to-gether for friends and family. Savannah is growing before our very eyes and new milestones abound. The cats, well, they are still cats and getting on each other's nerves waiting for the Spring weather to arrive.
Yes, I know so much interesting aspects of our lives, I'll try to bring you more interesting updates in the future. Too ta loo for now :]

Happy Freaking St. Patty's Day

Yes, I know today is not St. Patrick's Day.......just getting things done ahead of time for a change. It's better to be early than late, right? Savannah is now 6 1/2 months! Last week she finally decided she was ready to flip over from back to belly and belly to back consecutively. She is definietly stubborn like her Mommy and Daddy! In fact, I think she has had the ability to perform her newest milestone but she just "didn't want to do it." Hee, hee! As far as sitting up goes, she's so close----but seems to need her back muscles to be slightly stronger. My oh, my! Is she growing up fast! Her favorite thing to do in her "play time" is to roll on her back, chew on a toy or toss and crinkle up her balloon. She loves to eat Mommy's newspapers when she is clipping her Savvy Shopper coupons. I have to keep pulling it out of her mouth before she really does eat it.....evidently newspaper is YUM YUM YUM!!!!
My sushi classes have been a hit thus far! I'm probably breaking even discounting the classes for ward members and family.....but it has been so much fun it's definitely worth it. It also helps me to have something to look forward too and keep my mind busy. I've never slept better at night since I was prego!
This past Sunday was a lot of fun for us. It was my nephew Carter's baby blessing. We were exhausted and so full to our stomach's we wanted to throw up, but it was a blast and nice to visit with family and friends we only see at family get-to-gether's. Savannah had so much fun she kept passing out off and on during the after party. She slept a little too well on the way home so it took us forever to get her to sleep. Daylight savings time has really thrown us off! Sunday, when me and Chris got home we were still so full.....that is until 10pm rolls around and we both decided we're starving. Chris and I stayed up "playing" until midnight....shame on us! The 3 of us were running late yesterday morning; Savannah slept in until 8am! Fantastic for me, but boy did it throw us off the rest of the day! Chris was so tired when he got off work, then I went and crashed on him about 7pm.....sorry Chrisy! Still not certain how late he was up will "Annah", considering I just typed this up at 5 in the morning. Whoops!

I am so behind on my blog! I even got some new tips to improve it back during Christmas time.....and now I'm just getting to it. Let me know how ya'll like it!
Savannah will be 6 months old next week....unbelievable. Its amazing to watch her grow so fast and slowly become more capable of her surroundings. As I teach her new things, its like reteaching myself almost. But, I think the best part about having my little girl is being loved by someone who unconditionally loves you back. When I look into her eyes I can see me and Chris. Looking back at me, I feel Savannah's warmth glow back and me, and I feel complete.
Moving on past the "mushy stuff"......I have been so busy! I'm trying to earn some extra money on the side. Chris has had work more off and on than normal because of the bad position the economy is in. I guess I want to do everything I can to do my part in participating in bringing in funds. Anyhow, beginning in March I'm going to begin teaching sushi rolling classes on Tuesday nights. It's taken a lot of time and energy to learn new and the best techniques, but its definitely worth it. Who needs the restaraunt? I am also designing and selling momento cards. Haven't had much luck yet, not sure if it will be a hit, but I sure love making them for my family and friends!
