Thanksgiving weekend was a lot of fun for our family. We went to Grandma & Grandpa Cogswell's house for Thanksgiving dinner with Chris' fam. Then we drove to Grandma & Grandpa Thompson's house for the rest of the weekend. When we arrived, we took a famoily photo, ate pie and watched movies. Black Friday was a clostrophobics nightmare......as always. But after shopping with the Thompson girls, Vannah and I went to play with Aunt Lizzy. Vannah got to meet Lizzy's mom and then Lizzy took me out for birthday sushi! It was so yummy.....I want more tuna! Saturday was another fun shopping day until it was time to go home. Me, Vannah and Chris woke up Sunday morning sick.....yippy skippy! I took Vannah to the doctor Monday morning but she just has a bad cold. It was also my 29th birthday and I was feeling congested and weak. However, once my hubby came home the day got better. We went to The Happy Sumo for more sushi fun and then on a free carraige ride. Thank you my love for a wonderful birthday!

Halloween 2009

I spent most of October in and out of the dentist and on Halloween I was I had to be on loratab because I almost had to have a root canal done the following week. That turned out not to be, but our Halloween party plans fell through. We did dress up though and make the best of it. Went out with Grandma and Grandpa Cogswell and Uncle Shawn to "Up" Chuckarama. We watched scary movies at night and handed out candy to the little door knockers.

Little Miss Savannah

It has been way too long since I last put up a post! To update.......after my long, horrible pregnancy I had my little baby girl Savannah Elizabeth Cogswell 2 weeks early on Aug 25th 2009. She weighed 5lbs 9oz and 17 1/2". She has been a blessing and a miracle! Her blessing was held Sept 27th and Chris gave her a beautiful blessing from Heavenly Father. It was wonderful to have so my family and friends their to support us. Thank you, thank you! Afterwards we had a luncheon with our family and friends. I can't believe she's almost 2 months old!
Savannah aka "Vanna" took us 4 long, grievous years to be blessed with her. Through a lot of hard work, stress and fertility she made it into our lives. We love her more than anything in the world.....yes, even more than the cats!

Carson's First Birthday

This past weekend Chris and I went up to Syracuse to my parents' house to celebrate my nephew Carson's 1st birthday! He's my brother Matt's baby boy. And he is a little boy with a lot of expressions and attitude so I had a lot of fun taking pictures of him destroying his cake! It was so much fun and a lot of people came. Carson had a lot of presents to open and plenty of attention from his little friends and cousins. Happy Birthday Carson!

This weekend was a blast! My best friend Elizabeth came down for a visit in celebration of finding out about the sex of the baby. Friday night Chris, Lizzy and I went to Denny's and announced Lizzy as our daughter's godmother. Yes, I know we are not Catholic....which was Lizzy's response......but the title will be used in answer to our will. Later in the evening we watched movies but we were drained afterwards and went to bed.
Saturday morning we got up refreshed but lazy and we ended up having a late brunch with our high-rise german hotcakes. Yum! On Saturday afternoon Lizzy and I scavanged for scrapbooking ideas at the University Mall and went shopping while Chris went and exchanged some fish for more fish. My silly husband! By early evening we were exhausted from the day plus it was raining cats and dogs! So we set back off for our house and came back for a leisurely late dinner. Afterwards we decided we were bored and went to a game store in the Provo Towne Center mall and decided to try out the famous Settlers of Catan. Chris was so excited when we brought it home that he set it all up for us, read the instructions and went over what he learned to us. Lizzy was intently listening but I was having a horrible coughing spell and couldn't concentrate. Late into the night, we were still playing and the 3 of us were crazily laughing because of the late hour. Somehow someway I ended up winning by pure dumb luck.....Chris was not happy with me!
Eventually we got some sleep in around 1pm and none of were able to move until 10:30am Sunday morning! Lizzy was feeling a little under the weather too so we decided not to go to church. Of course at this point, Chris and Lizzy had to have their rematch with me......but of course since I was more aware I lost by a long shot to Chris! It was probably just beginners luck anyway...... In between games we ate my favorite clam chowder for lunch and Lizzy won the 3rd round. Once we were tied, we scurried to clean up the game and the rest of the household messes we had made because Chris' parents were coming by to see the new closets Chris and I built in our room . That was an hilarity of fun having them over! We are the biggest smart alects I know!
We ended the evening and the weekend with our "man's meal" which consisted of steak and a baked potatoe with a glass of sparkling cider and a toast to babies and godmothers! What a weekend! Thanks for coming down Lizzy we look forward to your upcoming visits!
