TRYING TO GET TO SUMMER

TRYING TO GET TO SUMMER
Wow! Its been a long time since my last blog entry. So much has happened since last year!In October I started a part-time job at JC Penney's and I absolutely love it! We've had a long hard winter beginning with back to back family deaths including my Aunt Jolene, Cousin Lary, Chris' Uncle and our cat Miss Meow, a freak emergency room visit for me in January and what seems an endless cold winter. All together it has been a difficult process but it has made us stronger. My emergency room visit helped lead me to a wonderful therapist who specializes in panic attacks; something I have been suffering with for many years now. After 6 months of therapy I put my whole heart into, I am finally on the road to recovery! Chris and I began fertility treatments once more in January as well. So far no luck, but we have faith that it will happen when the time is right. Also in January, Katie made a reappearance back into or lives. We missed her so much and have been worried sick about this this sweet girl that we have gotten to know over the past several years.Katie's situation at home took another turn for the worse in April and she was pulled out of the home into foster care. Currently we are seeking to have her come stay in our home until her family becomes stable again. Things don't look good for Katie's family right now and she may be with us permanently in the future. For now, we stressfully await her and the courts final decision. Its been the longest wait, but we've been apart much longer before so we are hanging on to our hope and faith that all will work out as it should. Please keep Katie in your prayers.

I wanted to post a few pictures taken over the past year, and decided to include Katie too since she is someone close to our hearts right now. The younger pic of Savannah was taken last September for family pictures and the older ones are mainly from Easter and early May this year. The pic of Katie and Savannah is from her January visit and her seperate pic was taken during Katie's trip to Michigan last summer.

My parents came down this past week from Thursday to Saturday to help my brother and his family remodel their bathroom. The guys worked on the big project and the girls go to hang out. Thursday we went to Centennial Park, Friday we went to the "bird pond park" along the Provo River Trail. It was such a gorgeous weekend and the kids had a blast! Above are the photos shot at Centennial Park.........

HAPPY FREAKIN' SPRING!!!!!!!!!

Spring 2010

Savannah can officially stay sitting up on her own.....but, if she decides she wants to lay down....she kinda goes boom boom, down down all the way! Easter has come and gone now, it was a rough holiday for us. We had to drive almost all day Sunday. My parents had an Easter brunch at 10am Sunday morning in Syracuse, following an Easter egg hunt for the grandkids. Then, we had to travel back South to Highland for a light dinner with Chris' parents. Finally, we made it home about 9pm. We were so tired and stressed from the drive we through our stuff on the ground and hopped in the bed to crash for the night. I hope the next holiday isn't such a stress.....definitely need to cut down on the travel........trying to decide if we need to switch holidays between families to eliminate so much traveling. Anyhow, not much else happening. Chris is working himself to death to keep our bank account flowing and I'm trying to think of new ideas to help out too. Sushi night pretty much disintegrated so, as of right now, I am looking into making sushi at the Pioneer Park Farmer's Market. Also on the side, trying to do the "Savvy Shopper thing" with plans of hosting a get-to-gether for friends and family. Savannah is growing before our very eyes and new milestones abound. The cats, well, they are still cats and getting on each other's nerves waiting for the Spring weather to arrive.
Yes, I know so much interesting aspects of our lives, I'll try to bring you more interesting updates in the future. Too ta loo for now :]
